Your life, Our answers

?

Family practice physicians provide care for patients of all genders, ages and races throughout the many stages of their lives. They must be very knowledgeable about many different areas of medicine in order to treat a wide variety of illnesses and conditions and they make referrals to specialists when necessary. Family doctors educate their patients about preventative measures to stay healthy and they assist patients with the management of their chronic illnesses and conditions.

Please call our office at (616) 455-4114 to set up a new patient profile today!

We are in network with all major insurance companies; BCBSM, Priority Health, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna and a few smaller companies as well. We encourage you to first call your insurance company to determine your coverage. Please have your insurance card available when calling to schedule your appointment with us.

New patient scheduling is about two months out at this time. If you have needs of an urgent matter, there are always exceptions.

For urgent medical needs, we offer same day office or telehealth appointments to our existing patients.  Being accessible for urgent medical needs saves you money and provides a stronger continuity of care because we know you and your medical history.

Of course! We love taking care of entire families because it allows us to get to know everyone better over time. We are trained to care for newborns, elders and every stage of life in between.

We are connected with the regional and local medical community and will happily provide a referral when specialty care is needed.

West Michigan Family Health is an independent practice and not owned by a hospital system.

If you are admitted to the hospital you will be cared for by a hospitalist, a doctor who specializes in care for patients who have been hospitalized.  While you are admitted, the hospital keeps us informed of your admission status, progress and condition, and any tests or procedures you have done while hospitalized so that we can continue to provide you with the best possible care once you are released.

If you’re patient of the practice and we have your email address, you will have access to our Patient Portal which allows you to send messages to your provider, request medication refills, and view labs and other personal health information. Response time for messages is typically 24-48 hours. If you have urgent medical concerns or issues that require an immediate response or are life- threatening, go to the nearest Urgent Care Center or call 911.

West Michigan Family Health is home to two board-certified family physicians who believe in building physician-patient relationships based on trust and respect. We also believe in a team based approach to our patients’ medical care. That’s why we strongly encourage our patients to schedule visits with our highly trained physician assistants! Through teamwork and collaboration, we are able to provide accessible, high quality healthcare to all of our patients.
